Location
I took it in a Studion in a house that got torn down just weeks later in Stockholm, called 08Studios.Time
Time of day, late afternoon/evening and the shoot took a few hours with makeup and hair.Lighting
The lighting was deliberately set to mimic fresnels and spots with barndoor to get into the right "sort of Technicolor mood" apporpriate for that decade and time.Equipment
Nikon D3s, prime lens, three flashes and a white background.Inspiration
First and foremost the model that I had just found in a bar. Before this se did a testshoot and one outdoors/rough set some weeks before. This was the big one in studio and I pushed the idea of a classical pinup as muich as I could then. I would love to do more, maybe a whole calendar, but this model is not shooting any longer.Editing
It started out as a clear lightroomedit, but several iterations through ps6 gave me lots of versions and this "split-tone" with timetypical tones is still my favourite. It could be done a lot cleaner, but thet the "time-stamp" could be lost. There are better editors out there, but I am not sure if I would let them touch this.In my camera bag
2-3 Primes, the D3s, a few speedlights and pocket wizards. Extra batteries and some gels. The modifiers does not fit in the bag. (umbrellas, smaller softbox and a BD with a grid.Feedback
Make the model comfortable, play it out of her and learn to see the pight. Visualise your picture long before you show up for the shoot. Keep an eye out on your exposure ansd shoot raw. But not even raw will rescue clipped highlights.
