This large inuksuk is a prominent feature along Vancouver waterfront, and a favourite of both locals and tourists. It's location on a small peninsula that juts out into English Bay is a great place to watch the sunset over the bay, Georgia Straight and Vancouver Island in the distance.

An inuksuk is a stone landmark used by the Inuit people in the Arctic regions of North America as points of reference and as markers for travel routes. This particular inuksuk was created by Inuit artisan Alvin Kanak as a gift to the city of Vancouver for the 1986 World Exposition.
