Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at a swan sanctuary in the special pens they have for new born cygnets.

Time

It was taken mid-morning, on an overcast day.

Lighting

Subdued natural light only.

Equipment

My trusty Canon with a 300mm lens. I lay on the ghround to try and get level with the bird.

Inspiration

Love taking pictures of wildlife so this was a great opportunity to get down low and photograph both young and adult birds.

Editing

I only cropped and slightly sharpened the image. This is because as I was laying on the ground, I couldn't use a tripod - only my arm to steady myself.

In my camera bag

x1 Canon 750D and a couple of lenses; 35-80 & 100-300mm.

Feedback

Be patient and try to get on the same level as the subject's eyeline, if possible.
