This was at Dudley Castle Zoo, in the West Midlands (UK).Time
I think I took it around 13:00.Lighting
It was a cloudy day so I zoomed in and cropped on my PC.Equipment
I used my Canon 750D with a 300mm zoom and (I think) f5.6.Inspiration
It was a chance shot as the owl wasn’t moving so I took it without a tripod. I just loved the way it was staring and its colours.Editing
Using Affinity Photo, I cropped the image and then added some vibrance and clarity, finally a bit of sharpening.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon 750D, my 35-85mm lens, my 100-300mm zoom and a nifty 50mm.Feedback
Get as close as you safely can, check your settings, use a tripod if you can and take several shots. Oh, and take lots of patience ????
