This cropped-version photo was taken of the U.S. Air Force "Thunderbirds" jet stunt precision flying team at Torrejon Air Base, Spain on U.S. Air Force Friendship Day, 1966. Their execution of their dangerous near-miss stunt trick I like to call "The Chickie Run" is shown here which commences when two jet fighters head straight toward each other 50 feet above ground and, at a combined speed of 1,000MPH come within about 18 inches of touching wings! (CAUTION: Don't try this at home! LOL) * By the way, I proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to my Honorable Discharge in 1967. *
