The jet fighters fly straight towards each other, each plane going about 500 mph and when they meet, they dodge each other just as they look like they're going to collide in mid-air---they come within about 18" of each other the moment they meet at combined speeds of about 1,000 mph! This is just as dangerous a stunt as any of the Wallendas walking the tightrope without a safety harness and without a safety net.
