I love this shot. You perfectly captured the horses's movements. Nice work.

Behind The Lens
Location
I had the pleasure of visiting the trainer I work for at her farm. After helping her with some chores, she brought this young stallion out for some paddock time. I took the opportunity to take some photos for her of her horse. This was the final image I presented to her.Time
This is one of my favorite images of a young 2 year old stallion. I got to the farm in early afternoon. When it was time for this stallion's paddock time, I grabbed my camera. At first he wasn't doing too much, then he got a little playful. This is when I was able to capture this photo.Lighting
It was a typical dull winter day. Light wasn't too bright. The snow did help to brighten up the scenery as it is white.Equipment
I used a Canon 60D and a Canon 18-200mm kit lens. No flash was used and was a handheld capture.Inspiration
As I have loved horses all my life, the harness racing trainer I work for has not only her race horses at the stable, but her personal horses at her farm. This photo was taken at her farm, and is a young stallion at 2 years old in the photo.Editing
I did remove some unwanted elements in the background such as branches. I brought the shadows up on the horse as it wasn't a sunny day and he was dark on a white landscape. In my camera bag
I always have my trusted Canon 5D Mark IV paired with my Canon 100-400L lens with a 1.4x extender. I also have my sturdy Manfrotto monopod which helps a lot. I carry many spare memory cards, an extra battery (in case the weather is cold), my charger, and items to clean my lens.Feedback
Make sure the sun (if it's out) is behind you. Be careful not to let the horse run into you. If horse is not co-operating, try to help it get in a playful mood. If trying to take a winter capture like this one, the deeper the snow, the bigger the spray of snow off the feet when it gallops around. If taking photos on a not -so-sunny day, be mindful of your settings and white balance.
