It was an early morning shoot so the sun was just clearing the mountains casting light shadows and a nice ambient glow on the mountainside.Lighting
I try to incorporate as much natural or ambient light as possible, in this case I needed to use back lighting and a reflector to balance out the natural lighting.Equipment
This was shot with my Sony a99, no flash and handheld.Inspiration
Beautiful home, gorgeous setting and one of the most gracious, lovely ladies I've had the pleasure of knowing. Nothing in the image is a prop, it's all her; who wouldn't be inspired to capture that?Editing

Don't shy away from shadows, use them to give more feeling to the moment. Keep reflectors with at least gold & silver sides to help balance light from ambient sources, and avoid blocking moves by the model or props. Less is often more but not in post processing; try to ensure the small details are lit well enough like the eyes...
