As I woke up from the camp site, stretched, then quickly set up my camera kit, I noticed how silent it was underneath the weight of the native bird sounds, then a rapid silence briefly followed as they heard me moving around.
While I was taking this long exposure of the misty hills and crooked tree their sound steadily returned. I love the Upper West coast of the South Island, NZ. One of my favorite places in the world! Taken at Paparoa National Park
