Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken at Geneva Airport. I was safety pilot o tis aircraft for the weekend and self taught photographer.

Time

It was taken at the Corporate aircraft ramp of the airport about 10am. We had landed at night and had been delayed so getting up the next day was the best time to take it.

Lighting

I was experimenting with different angles and this seem to be the bet of what had been taken

Equipment

I had a Nikon D5000 with a 18-75mm lens. I had only just started with digital photography

Inspiration

I have always liked aviation. I had my Private Pilot's Licence and the US Commercial Licence and took my camera on most trips. I was getting into photography, especially from the point of view of what views and subjects are offered in aviation.

Editing

I really only turned it from colour to black and white.

In my camera bag

I now have the original D5000 and lens, pls a D500 and 18-300 and 100-400mm lens. I have a flash gun plus tripod and monopod attached to my bag.

Feedback

Aviation especially wen flying allows different angles for one to look at. lying above clouds, on the ground you are around aircraft with their shapes they offer and vantage points of movement. Darkness can be illuminated by aircraft, runway and lights form the buildings. The sun's angles also add to the image
