Location
This photo was taken of a friend's ship, the Hindu, from Zachary Taylor Park on Key West. It's about the best sunset photo opportunity on the Bone Island. I wait there, often, to try and get the Green Flash. This night, the Hindu happened by as the sun was sagging into the sea.Time
Very late in the afternoon, about 10 minutes before sunset.Lighting
I shoot mostly available light although at sunset.Equipment
Tripod, Nikon D90 with an 18-300 lens.Inspiration
Again, when the sail presents itself, snap away!Editing
none on this particular image. In my camera bag
a selection of filters, a tripod, extra batteries, and sometimes a hand held remote trigger.Feedback
Patience, it's always a waiting game. Stake out your favorite spot early and be prepared to defend it from last minute snappers.
