Location
This photo was taken when we were visiting my in-laws home. Our dog, Rocky, was in the backyard and when we walked in the front yard, he was peeking out of the fence at us.Time
This photo was taken about mid day and is probably one of my favorite images of Rocky.Lighting
I did not use a flash for this photo, it was taken outside using natural light.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon Rebel T3i and EFS 18-55mm lens with with image stabilizer.Inspiration
I can't remember what I originally set out to shoot on this day, but I had my camera in my hand (which is pretty much typical for me) and when Rocky came to the fence, I just knew it was something special that I needed to capture. Rocky passed away within the last 6 months, so these memories of him are even more special to our family. (Rocky: We love & miss you)Editing
I used Photoshop Elements to lighten the shadows and brighten the colors slightly. In my camera bag
I ALWAYS have my Canon Rebel T3i, EFS 55-250mm lens with with image stabilizer, EFS 18-55mm lens with with image stabilizer, nothing special just the lens that came with my camera kit when I purchased it. My camera is sporting an amazing battery grip that holds 2 batteries, so that give me extra shoot time and has extra buttons, so I can easily capture the angle I want, but I also carry about 6-8 spare batteries (just in case).
