While visiting Seward, Alaska I decided to embark on a Kenai Fjords Glacier Tour. The 8.5-hour trip included 7 breaching orcas, several humpback whales, countless seabirds and an up close view of Aialik Glacier and Aialik Bay. Kenai Fjords receives rainfall approximately 167 days a year. Experiencing the fjords with blue skies, white fluffy clouds and calm seas held within it several moments I will never forget. Fifty-one percent of the park is covered in ice so depicting it any other way seems improbable. With my back to Ailiak Glacier, a subtle reflection and bits of calved glacier it was almost as if the park had chosen this specific moment just for me.
