Behind The Lens
Location
Shelburne Falls, MassachusettsTime
Early afternoon (1:00) following a recent rain storm.Lighting
While the rain had subsided, the weather was still overcast. This allowed for a photo that may have been too bright during other circumstances.Equipment
iphone 4s for the shot, no tripod or any other equipment.Inspiration
What normally is a minor trickle of water was a huge deluge after a significant storm. This immense volume of water along with the bright colors of the fall foliage in the background made me stop and take the shot.Editing
HDR post processing through the Snapseed App on my iphone along with brightening the image a small amount. In my camera bag
My iphone, my panasonic lumix dmc-gmi mirrorless camera, my 35 mm black & white film camera.Feedback
Finding something different from the norm and capturing it is what photography is all about. This image helps to reflect that sentiment. Sometimes, looking around you and observing the things that differ from what you're accustomed to are the items that may warrant a second look and possible photo.
