As I was waiting to get a peek of the Masters of the Yellowstone, this lovely critter popped up out of the river with what I would've guessed was his lunch. Neither one of us startled one another. We calmly looked at one another...I snapped a picture...and he went on up the river.....with his lunch.

Location
I had been sitting on the bank of the Yellowstone River, near Huntley, Montana, waiting for the Bald Eagle pair to come zipping down river when out of the blue! This critter and his meal popped up onto the nearby rocks. Amazingly I didn't jump nor scream....he didn't either. We just looked at one another, he stayed long enough for me to actually get a decent picture and off he went! Scampering on up the bank of the river with his lunch. Definitely an "at the right place at the right time" kind of photo!!! :)Time
The Bald Eagle pair on the Yellowstone River, tend to hunt for their lunch around noon, at which time, apparently is the same time this guy, Mr. Mink hunts with success, his meal for lunch.Lighting
I don't remember enough of the lighting to be able to share other than it was all natural....lucky and natural.Equipment
Canon Rebel t6i and lens that came with the camera.Inspiration
The only inspiration was immediate!!!! Mr. Mink with his lunch was staring at me as if to say, "Well, here I am! Take my picture before I scamper." I couldn't resist. No one would be able to resist an opportunity such as this. Inspiration? Nature in realtime. :)Editing
Not that I recall. In my camera bag
Honestly? Not a lot. The camera mentioned above and the lens attached to the camera at the time. I'm not a professional. I'm a luck, "at the right place at the right time" hobby photographer. Totally LUCKY!!!!Feedback
Take your camera EVERYWHERE you go for you never know, NEVER know when an opportunity such as this will appear.
