Location
I took this photo on sunset in the Southern Highlands of Australia, I had recently moved here and seeing this scene, confirmed that I had made the right choice to leave the city :) When the sunset, fog and moon came together on this road, I knew the shot had to be taken and I hope I did the scene justice.Time
This was taken at the start of Autumn at sunset on the way home from getting the groceries, I decided to take the long way home and I am so glad I always carry a camera with me as I would have been kicking myself if I had missed this shot. My husband had to look out for traffic while I took this photo, it is a rural backroad so there luckily was not a lot of trafficLighting
There was not a lot of light left when these beautiful colours appeared so I decided I wanted the silhouettes of the trees to be a nice contrast on the pink sky. I chose the middle of the road as it looked like a road that led to dreamland with the moon, fog and colours from another worldEquipment

The fog, being from the city I have never seen fog quite like this and never sunset colours so vibrant. I really just wanted to stop and take a look but when I saw the scene I reached for my camera as it just all came together in front of meEditing
Just removing a road sign and removing a little noise and increased the vibranceIn my camera bag
I always have my Sony camera and my Tokina 11-16 lens and telephotoFeedback
Always carry your camera with you, whether you are shopping for groceries or doing the school run. You never know what spectacular elements and lighting will present itself :)
