I set my alarm for 5 AM to get up and drive out to a friends to take photos of the Lunar Eclipse that was to be visible here in Leitchfield Ky. in the US, about 5:45. Got dressed, grabbed my camera bag, stepped out the door and was greeted with fog so heavy I could barely see my car. I decided it was not worth the risk of having an accident to drive 15 miles to my friend’s and still not be sure if the fog would have lifted enough for me to even see the Eclipse. I decided to go back to bed and try to catch the full moon latter that evening.
I had taken a shortcut up Boston Hill Rd. at about 6:15 PM on the way to my friend’s house again when I looked over and saw the moon just starting to become visible from behind the clouds. I loved the way it was illuminating the red, white & blue water tower and the the fog rolling in. I only had a chance for a few photos before the moon was covered by clouds again, but I still liked the view of “small town USA” that I captured.
