It was almost dark with a a fast approaching Winter storm rolling in here in Leitchfield Kentucky in the US. I had waited for some time hoping to get the chance to catch Canada geese in flight. I was just about to give up and leave when I heard some of them taking of from the far end of the lake. Even though it was getting very dark and I figured I would not be able to get a useable shot, I waited, watched and listened for them just in case they would fly by in range of my lens. I thought the sun was completely gone but there was still a shaft of warm light barely peaking over a far western ridge that these very cooperative geese flew right into, just for me!. Well maybe it was just luck, but I prefer to think they flew there just for me. LOL
