“Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. #Birds are not late.# A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.” Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper

even isolating part of the building it is still recognizable since it has such a striking architecture.

Excellent quote, pin sharp detail in the amazing Eiffel tower abstract. Wonderful view of flying birds scattered all around the bright sky in silhouette. Interesting capture.....well done.

a frame within a frame and a rhythm in the arch to lend strength to the composition - of course the birds balance the image beautifully - the silhouette framing the birds with the black on black acts not to confuse the image - gr8 quote - much appreciated

Nice work :) I have The Time Keeper but have yet to read it. Mitch Albom is one of my favorite authors.

I really love the iron work of the bridge. The birds give it a feeling of reality.

Really like the POV with its use of the Eiffel arch as an interior framing device.

A superb composition breaking away from the conventional tourist snapshot, this artistic image is a beautifully exposed example of an alternative way to portray a global icon.

Very neat perspective! I love how you framed it with the base of the tower. It's been a few years since I visited Paris but I'd notice those metal silhouettes anywhere :]
