I took this photo, I've named "Bugsy and A Spider" in our pond - yes, I really mean, IN our pond. I wanted a photo of the waterlily so my hubby could see it. He loved them, and was excited to plant them. He watched and waited for a bloom; was so excited when a bud showed up. Unfortunately, every time one bloomed, it was while he was at work, and the fish ate the flower before he got home. When I saw this one, I prayed for the safety of my camera, and actually waded out in the pond to shoot it. I never noticed the spider till I downloaded it. Bugsy was a dream model, and stayed around for a half hour photo shoot.Time
I think it was around two in the afternoon.Lighting
Special lighting by God.Equipment
This was with an Olympus C750 UZ. It is especially precious because it was before image stabilization.Inspiration
I think I covered this in the first question. Just wanted hubby dearest to see his waterlily before it became fish food.Editing
I think I may have saturated it a little. In my camera bag
I don't have a lot of equipment. I try to make sure to have my camera, batteries, lens cloths, a 50 and a zoom. Also like "photo hints" from magazines, Pinterest, etc.I can look up on my phone.... as I'm still (and always will be) learning.Feedback
I don't travel much at all, so am always looking for beauty and interesting things close to home. With people and animals, I try to capture the feeling. We are so lucky to be part of the digital photo world. Years ago, when my kids were little, film, etc was expensive, and a lot of pictures didn't come out. It was really bad when you went to pick them up and the person behind the counter said, " No Charge." Now, we can just go wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
