The long piece of parchment is an undated letter or contract. It's difficult to read, but I think it's a medieval marriage contract. The letter and envelope to the right are bordered in black to denote mourning. Something else I collect. The old books are just old books. Actually, I collect all sorts of antiquarian manuscripts and other paper ephemera. Not quite sure what the overall message of the shot is, so I'll leave it to the viewer.
