Location
The photo was taken from the side of the road on my commute home from work, I rounded the corner and had to pull over and try to capture it. The only camera I had on me was my iPhone and it did a great job capturing the stunning clouds. I'm a self-taught photographer and love to try to capture images that make me stop in awe.Time
This is by far my favorite photo. I was on my way home from work so it was a little after 4pm, and a fall storm was rolling in, I could see the clouds building on the horizon and was looking forward to cloud watching on my drive home. I had never been one of the pull to the side of the road to snap a shot people, but when I rounded the corner and saw this site I hit the breaks and pulled over.Lighting
All natural lighting.Equipment
This was shot using my iPhone, no special lens, filter, etc.Inspiration
The clouds were just breath taking, I actually stopped in the middle of the road initially and then frantically found a spot to pull to the side of the road. I was actually standing in the road to snap this, the view was captivating and inspiring and my hope was to at least capture a fraction of the energy around it.Editing
I have copies of this photo that I have applied filters to, but this is the unaltered version. In my camera bag
I always have my iPhone with me and love the images I'm able to capture with it. When I'm doing more formal photography I carry my Canon EOS Rebel T5 with an EFS 18-5mm lens, and have recently added a 75-300mm lens to my collection.Feedback
Capture what inspires you, if it makes you take a second look or takes your breath away try to capture that.
