Here in Michigan, we see some pretty scary spiders, but never anything like this! When me and my mom saw this spider with it's amazingly beautiful 3 FOOT in diameter web, I had to run for my camera. Spiders are creepy, yes, but to me, this one was beautiful.

I used to see this spider all the time here in California. It is an orb weaver. A harmless spider. It would suck but because the always tend to build their webs low. I usually would walk right into the webs at night in the front yard or backyard and have that thing on my face. I'm not scared of spiders but the 1st couple of times it ducked cuz here with all the black windows we have I would automatically think of that. Lol
