This photo was taken at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Butser Hill, HampshireTime
the photo was taken approximately 8am on a cool crisp autumnal morning, having been on an early morning walk to the top of Butser Hill I decided to wander through the forest with a friend of mine and came across this shard of morning light.Lighting
the lighting is natural, I tend to favour natural light photography wherever possibleEquipment
I used my old camera for this shot it was my Nikon D2100, no tripod, it was a quick shot as I like to call it, I saw the light and just snapped away.Inspiration
I love natural light and the way that light makes a photo, the shard of light coming through the trees caught my eye and this was one of about three shots that I took, I love Autumn it is my favourite time of year and this light was wonderful.Editing
I don't recall doing any post-processing, I generally don't do post-processing, I don't have photoshop or any of those things, I do use the basic editing on my mac if I need to but on this occasion the light was perfect. In my camera bag
My camera a Nikon D5500, extra SD cards, lens cleaner, spare batteries and a couple of lenses.Feedback
Use the golden hour, the light is wonderful, I love the way that light can change a landscape from a fairly plain photo to an amazingly atmospherical landscape. I like to play with light where possible using it to backlight subjects. Get out with your camera and photograph what you like and what captures your eye and have fun.
