Location
This photo was taken at Charlestowne Landing in Charleston, South Carolina.Time
I took this photo in the late afternoon in mid October of 2013.Lighting
As the sun began to set the light shining through the leaves created a beautiful glow.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
My husband and I were on our way out of the park after spending the entire day exploring, when I was drawn in by the glowing golden leaves and the almost perfect reflection in the water below. I didn't have my tripod with me and had to practically lay on the ground to insure I didn't have camera shake. Needless to say I was happy with the result.Editing
I use Lightroom for my post-processing. Very little was needed for this image a slight s-curve in levels was all it needed. In my camera bag
I have a small back pack that I carry on most of our exploring adventures. Typically I carry my 70-200mm,18-55mm and my 50mm 1.8 prime lenses. Extra battery and memory cards are also a must as well as bug spray and sunscreen. I now have a Gorilla-pod that goes with me as well.Feedback
Be patient and carry a tripod, preferably have a wireless remote with you as well. Here in SC the weather can be pretty unpredictable especially in the fall and spring so bring bug spray, sunscreen and a light jacket or sweater.
