Built in early 1900s and opened on the 17th October 1911 the Transporter Bridge connects Middlesborough to port clarence in Teesside, it can carrie 200 people or 9 cars at any one time and takes approx 90 seconds to cross the River Tees. The Bridge took the main part in the third series of "Auf Wiedersehen Pet" broadcast in 2002, this is a must watch !!
