Location
This photo was taken during one of the worst winds... obviously gale force on the North East coast of England, Seaham harbour is the place.Time
Taken between 10am and 12 noon Saturday morning during high tide.Lighting
Simple... this is so very natural, due to the gale the Sky was darker than usualEquipment
I used a Nikon D40 for this shot, no tripod as I rested on the gates which close the pier during poor weather conditions, lens used was a zoomInspiration
Waking on this morning early I heard the wind, thought of this place then waited for the wife to wake so we could drive the 20 mile so to check the sea conditionEditing
Nothing, natural photographyIn my camera bag
I keep along with many cleaning items a nikor 10/20 mm wide angle, 55/300 mm zoom, flash, sd cards and spare batteries, so really a bit of everythingFeedback
Due to the wind, high seas I recommend the correct zoom lens so to stay well away from powerful seas, safety glasses are a big plus when the sand is wiped against your face.
