I really like the painterly qualities in the sky, they mix well with the silhouetted foliage and the contrails. Even the slight grain in the background help pull this image together nicely. You keep making great work and it keeps people smiling.

Location
This was taken a few years back, on a small boat trip on Lake Martin in Louisiana. The tour had started late, but instead of rushing back, our guide turned off the engine and waited for sunset. The only sounds where the whisper of the wind through the Spanish moss and the cries of the birds coming home to roost for the night. Purely magical moment.Time

Choose your guide carefully, and time your tour for the best opportunities. We went late in the afternoon for the long shadows and the softer light, and got the sunset as a bonus.
