Lake Below The Crag

The Moon

Originally went out to capture a few shots of the rising supermoon and noticed the sunset over where I live, so pulled over quickly to capture this b

As I continued my ascent up Pen-Y-Fan I found field of horses having their lunch of their locally sourced grass as the sun was dipping behind the moun

It was a nice and overcast day so decided to do a few landscapes of clydach reservoir.

Seen these pair on my wanders and they were willing to pose for the camera.

Decided to go for the plunge and move away from AP and SP modes to try full manual and happy with the end result.

I was walking back from taking photos of clydach reseivoir and noticed a Chaffinch having lunch.

Out with my son and had him posing for some photos. I really like this as it shows his cheeky personality.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Garwnant visitor center located at the foot of the Brecon beacons.

Time

The time of day was around midday during the summer.

Lighting

The photo was taken using natural lighting without using a flash.

Equipment

This photo was taken using a sony xperia z1 smartphone set at 200 iso and 20.7 mega pixels

Inspiration

During day out with the family my sons noticed a little cabin in the forestry and was really excited, so I thought what a nice location for a snap to add to the family album.

Editing

I used a preset filter using the Pixlr app downloaded to my phone.

In my camera bag

Just my phone and hoping to upgrade to a dslr in the future.

Feedback

Try to be creative as you can and even just the small snaps taken with family/friends can be just as creative, also if its pleasing to the eye the camera is a great way remember those pictures which can always be treasured.
