We celebrate people conquering adversity, so too should it be with nature. When I first starting taking this set of photos, it wasn't till part way through that I realized that this Canada Goose was handicapped. The bottom of his foot was missing. At first my reaction was sorrow, but then as I continued shooting, I realized that as far as this Canada goose was concerned, he wasn't handicapped. He had overcome the adversity of having only one good leg to stand on, and had no problems doing all those things a goose does. From sorrow, I began cheering this goose.I wanted to yell, "Way to go, girl", but I wasn't alone , so I whispered it under my breath.
