This black tailed mule deer decided to browse in my rock garden . It almost looks like he is bowing to the Buddha. It is sad that my neighbours view the deers as a nuisance while I view it as a priviledge that they grace my backyard with their presence.

Yes, I am so very lucky that way. I had 3 deer in the back yard and they stayed for 30 minutes. They definitely have no fear of humans because I was able to open my sliding glass door and go outside to the first level of the back yard and they didn't even notice me. More and more deers are viewing the urban settings as sanctuaries. Ironically, ny next door neighbour hates seeing them in his back yard and always tries to scare them away. How sad that he can't appreciate them for the wonderful creatures that they are.
