Location
A beautiful autumn path through the woods located in the Algoma Region of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. It leads down to a river bed. Whether the large tree is still there or not I do not know because this image was taken many years ago approximately in 1997 or 1998.Time
It was mid day, slightly cloudy outside which to me gives the best lighting as I had no sun glare to deal with or shadows.Lighting
I used only the natural day light on this image.Equipment
I was using a film SLR, it was a Pratika which I still have, actually I own two Pratika's both use film but I loved those Pratika's they were built like rocks and never wore out, and I took many many images with them. So there is a film negative for this image.Inspiration
This path was just so inviting that I had to take a picture of it. I love photographing paths in the autumn I am always intrigued to find out where they lead.Editing
Well the original image is in hues of mostly golds, greens and browns but I changed them to reds in Adobe Photoshop so I could enter the image into a contest that was for the color red. I also darkened the large tree to the right to add extra contrast. I shall upload the original for anyone who is interested to see the changes I made in post-processing and thank you for your interest. There is also a painting version in different colored hues of this image on Viewbug posted for print sales. In my camera bag
Recently I have added some reverse lens rings into my bag of goodies. I now own a Canon Rebel, a gift from my brother. In my bag I have a small point and shoot camera, some cleaning cloths and liquid, a small set of screwdrivers for loose lens screws, an external flash, a macro lens, a 50 mm lens a 100 mm lens and a beautiful old 58 mm zenit lens.Feedback
Just get out and drive around the photo opportunities are endless and when you see something you like, stop, take the time to take several images of the picture. Wait for the right lighting maybe a semi cloudy day for something like this is best, unless of course you want shadows. I just became a photo shutter bug when I was 28 when someone gave me my first camera and have not been able to stop since.
