Location
The photo was taken at home, in the sunlight.
This photo is part of a series with the same flowers, photographed at that time of day.
Time
The warm light of the sun give me a good feeling and it stimulates my creativity. In that sunny day of spring, snugly bright sunlight urged me to shoot a bouquet of flowers from several angles and at short distances. I tried to capture the nearby but without affecting the overview image and it seems I have succeeded according to my viewers. I shoot at 1 pm, using custom settings. By the way, always I shoot using custom settings because I have more control over my digital camera.
Lighting
I have tried that in the photo to appear light and dark shades. To enhance the areas of light and shade i used and custom settings of my digital camera. Having a good and bright sunlight we can to play with her and to achieve the desired effect.
An example of how we can play with sunlight is another picture of my own called "flower in the sun" (that may be seen on my viwbug page), taken in the middle of the day with the sun shining on the sky.
Equipment
I shot with a bridge camera, Leica V-LUX 2, with VARIO-ELMARIT lens, Aperture: f/8.0, ISO: 100, Shutter Speed: 4/10. I have not used the tripod or flash.

Inspiration
I like to photograph the flowers, to capture their wealth of colors, the harmony of these colors, the beauty of the flowers. This photo I called it: Chrysanthemum, an "intimate" view. Let me to explain a bit. In this photo I tried to capture a tiny Universe of colors, forms, which represent the essence of each of the flowers, which we enjoy our eyes and our soul, urges us to esteem and to keep, to preserve the nature because protecting nature means preserving life.
Editing
I prefer to shoot in raw. In most cases the post-processing operations are minor.
In my camera bag
I have two Leica cameras V-LUX 1 and V-LUX 2, Kodak color Separations, macro B+W lenses for close-up, flash, a lot of SD HC 1 cards, and, of course, batteries.
Feedback
Each time when i shoot flowers i think to capture their beauty, their diversity, their coloring, regardless of the angle, or the distance from where I take a photo of a flower or more. An important factor for a beautiful picture is light. I prefer the natural light and I think, as for a successful photography with a flower, to use the light from the middle of the day. Also great pictures are made in the warm light of a sunny days approaching the evening.
