My old workhorse. Outstanding in it's field. Still delivering since 1977. For those of us who can appreciate a fine wine, aged cheddar, or even a vintage cigar. This camera is magic in ones hands.

Location
This was taken in my back yard by my Canon 6D and a Canon 24 - 105 mm L lens.Time
It was a beautiful Summer afternoon. Outdoors in shaded natural light.Lighting
This was outdoors in natural shaded light on a bistro table with no fill or reflective light.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 6D and a 24 - 105 mm L lens. It was set on a tripod for stability. I kept the depth of field narrow to isolate the camera and to make an aesthetic background bokeh.Inspiration
I was tooling around that morning with these cameras. Reliving past memories, and thinking back to the days of film and developing. Although I do try to use my Bronica at times. It is just not the same as it once was. Today there are so many advancements in photography that using my old workhorse is more a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Picking it up though, still brings back the magic. This camera had done me well in the past, shooting in the frozen lands of Iceland, and many other environments that I put it through. I thought it fitting to bring it to the forefront of this image.Editing
The setting hadn't required much in the way of editing. There had been contrast between the foreground and background that had to be adjusted, but that was pretty much it, aside from a few minor touchups and corrective moves. In my camera bag
Then, back in 1978, it would be the Mamiya C330, Bronica ETR, and a Nikon Ftn. Today, it is mostly digital with Canon 7D, 6D, multible lenses and flash, tripod, batteries, etc. I no longer have the Mamiya, but I do occasionally carry the Bronica along for scenic shots.Feedback
I think it important to remember the past and be inspired by what had sparked your passion for the medium. I like to think of film and sensors as my canvas, and now, editing as my brush to create the images that I had envisioned when I take a photograph. Don't be so concerned with taking an image that you miss the photograph!
