I love this idea, I have just started a digital media unit in college and have to say for one part of it I am 'borrowing' your idea.

Clever, and how the face face, and the shadows...I was wondering what the title was after I saw it. You could do a whole series..."don't talk to the hand"

Location
This was taken in my home studio. I photographed several different faces and selected these five for the final picture.Time
I took the photo at noon. I like to work in a studio so I can work when I'm inspired and don't have to chase the good light.Lighting
Lighting setup was simple clam shell lighting with gridded soft box on top and reflector at the bottom.Equipment
Nikon D800 with Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II at 170mm and f/11, 1/160sec, ISO 200 It's a self portrait so I used also a tripod and remote.Inspiration
I like to take surreal and humour photos so this combines bot of those areas. I see a lot of photos and other art daily. Some ideas just keep circling in my head and combine to other ideas, my personality and other stuff. At some point that complicated mix produces ideas that I then start to work in a more concrete level.Editing
I combined the images in photoshop. I twas pretty simple with layer masks since all the photos were taken in same light. I used Nik Color Efex Pro to add some tonal contrast and after sharpening it was ready. In my camera bag
Nikon D800 and D3300 and some nikon lenses. If I'm not in my studio I usually also carry couple of smaller flashes and some light modifiers with me.Feedback
Be ready to try grazy things. They might not always work but you usually at least have fun trying new things and when they work you might have a gem in your hand.
