Location
This photo was taken in Eqaila Beach in Kuwait. Was planning for a long time visit this place.Time
Family and work usually takes up most of my time, so whenever i have a free time as left over, without hesitation "Sleep sleep sleep" the rule of sum :) so i feel lazy to wake up later on for a shoot especially at 3 to 5 AM. Magic happens that day and i woke up like 3 something AM and without thinking took my gear and head out hunting :)Lighting
Natural light is the best for landscape photographersEquipment
I used for this location my Nikon D600 along with a benro carbon fiber tripod, plus a shutter trigger release. The lens is Samyang 14mm @ f10 and 4s shutter speed.Inspiration
I guess once you get hooked with an amazing hobby like photography, you eventually start looking around you all the time. I believe this was my first sunrise shoot. Well my inspiration was my daughter, because of her i saw this place. I usually take her to the beach more often to play in the sand, she is just back then 18 month old. So i decided that day to take her to a different location which was this and you can guess the rest. My eyes got wide open when i saw this particular spot and started to imagine how would it be like at the sunrise.Editing
Any photo in my humble opinion out of the camera specially RAW files needs some sort of adjustments either simple or major and landscapes are no different. Yes, i did some local adjustment to the sea level and brightened the far away area to my liking, in addition to that i used the grad filter to deepen the blues with orangish and the rest is just some basic adjustments (Contrast, vibrance, sharpening and curve layer). In my camera bag
My passion is Landscape, seascape and cityscape photography and the common thing between them is definitely a wide angle lens. So my bag always have the following: (my gear from Nikon) 1) Wide angle lens (16-35)mm 2) Telephoto (70-200)mm 3) ND filters (10 stop, 6 stop and a hard grad 0.6) 4) Memory Cards (Always label you new cards) 5) Extra Batteries 6) Shutter control trigger 7) Lens cleaning kit Along with my tripodFeedback
As a landscape lover, i hate to say it, but you have to develop a patience skill and you have always to remember that landscape photography requires some level of dedication. Planning, researching the location, scout the place while there is light, check for the weather before you go and then try to capture what have you imagined. I would recommend all photographer to check others either by youtube or their websites and learn something from their stories too. Good luck folks
