Location
I took this picture in downtown of Porto Alegre city, southern Brazil, on where I live. I was working in a photo book regarding public technology, a project of my own.Time
In the afternoon, almost 4pm.Lighting
The day was very cloudy, a typical winter day in my city.Equipment
Nikon D90 equipped with a 10-24mm lens (the picture was shot at 10mm). No flash, no tripod.Inspiration
I wanted to take a nice photo showing a surveillance camera. When I passed below it and pointed the camera up, I just loved the composition. Shapes lead the eye to a central point of convergence, while the surveillance camera breaks the monotony. Graphically speaking, the camera is light and fluid, as opposed to old buildings. And that's exactly what I wanted to show: the lightness and fluidity of technology also represents the modernization of our urban space.Editing
Yes, I always shoot in raw, so post-processing is a need. I enjoy playing with filters and settings in Adobe Lightroom. In my camera bag
My Nikon D90 plus this wide 10-24 zoom lenses. Sometimes, a 70-300 lenses too, plus a tripod and a SB800 flash unit.Feedback
To make it simple, photography is all about how we see the world. Keep looking to unusual points and hidden details. Pay attention to the stories told by shapes, colors, faces... And enjoy.
