Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, on the Brooklyn side

Time

Golden hours, sunset in January

Lighting

Mother Nature at her best...

Equipment

Canon T3i, Tamron SP 10-24mm wide angle lens, on a Sirui tripod

Inspiration

I love taking photographs of New York City. An inspiring location, a great place to live. The Brooklyn Bridge is an architectural marvel, an historic landmark, and a great photographic subject. But sometimes the bridge alone is a little bland. Including the pier scene just added enough detail to bring a little more interest to the scene.

Editing

Post processing using Lightroom and NIK HDR Efex Pro 2.0

In my camera bag

Camera, standard 18-55mm lens, 70-300 zoom lens and my wide-angle lens, extra batteries and SD cards, and a lens cleaning cloth. Oh, yeah, the manual for my camera!

Feedback

Keep your eyes open. Inspiration comes in a flash. You may turn a corner and see the most spectacular view.
