It was bright out and I needed a slow shutter, so I positioned myself where I could get out of the direct sunlight in the buildings. I also looked carefully at the background as I wanted something that wasn't too distracting, but set the urban scene.Equipment

Look for events to go capture like this. Community events like concerts and sporting events often provide an opportunity for dramatic shots.
