Location
We are lucky enough to have some fabulous native woodland on the doorstep, although, not many people realise it's there. I keep it's location very quiet. It's unspoilt. Great wildlife and a fabulous selection of fungus also the most amazing of native bluebells and wood anemones.Time
I took this just on the way back from the dog walk before work, so was rushing a little because I'd lost track of time...again...so I took this at approximately 11am.Lighting
All natural lighting, filtered by the trees.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon 50D, no tripod, just me lying on the ground as usual! No flash and the 18/55 kit lens, nothing added, very basic kit.Inspiration
The woods themselves are a huge inspiration, this little scene was taken with a couple of shots only as I was on my home at the time and running late.Editing

Keep looking, look above, and on the ground. Get to know your area, it's seasons and what it has to offer. You will will learn where to find things, or specific sections where certain types of fungus reappear each year. It's amazing what can be missed. When you get to know your area, you will start to recognise small changes, for example and orchid that has just started blooming off the path. You will see small movements and splashes of colour.
