This is awesome....How in the world did you get a photo without a gazillion people around....I have photos of the bean but not this beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

In the lakeside Millennial Park in Chicago. "The Bean" is a stainless Steel sculpture designed to enchant photographers!Time
First light in the morning. Before the crowds arrive and begin cluttering the photo. The only others around at that hour were three videographers on special assignment from their Junior College photography class.Lighting
I which there had been some clouds, but the early morning sun and dark blue sky was awesome.Equipment
Canon EOS-1D X; Canon EF14mm f/2.8L II USM; f11 @ 1/200; ISO 400. Really Right Stuff Carbon tripod TVC-34 with a BH-55 Ball Head. Awesome equipment, and light enough to toss into a suitcase.Inspiration

Since I do a lot of international travel, I carry a "sparse" bag. Bodies - Canon EOS-1D X, Canon 5D MKIII (Just in case one breaks down, or if I need rapid/multiple exposures. Lenses - Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Canon EF14mm f/2.8L II USM, Canon 2x Tele-extender. Stuff - Multiple batteries, CF/SD cards, camera cleaners and other small stuff.Feedback
Arrive early to beat the crowds. If you want crowds, stand directly beneath "The Bean." Really fun pictures under there.
