Behind The Lens
Location
In Wheatland, Wyoming, in the backyard of a home.Time
Late afternoon.Lighting
Nothing special. Just natural sunlight.Equipment
Sony Nex-6 with a 17-50mm lens.Inspiration
This huge mastiff dog is in the household with another huge St. Bernard dog. Both were looking over the fence with angst as the owners were leaving. I grabbed my camera quickly to capture their emotional responses.Editing
I cropped in close and "sharpened" a little in iphoto. In my camera bag
Sony Nex-6, 17-55mm, 14mm, 50-200, and fish-eye lens. Bean bag for stability. I have trouble with tripods. I tend to just swing them around! I always carry extra memory cards and batteries.Feedback
With a scene like this I would try to take at least 15 shots. Snap quickly and don't try to set up too much. Maybe change the points of view with different shots. Don't hesitate.
