This image was shot on the coast of North Carolina, May 2014. I went there for a wildhorse workshop run by Jarod Lollyd, an acclaimed wi8ldlife photographer in America. He grew up on the coast and has a great realtionship with these wild horses. At the time of this photo I was actually lying on my stomach on wet muddy ground with about 50 little crabs hanging out with me. These two colts suddenly decided to have a play only 8 meters away from me. I thought about moving, but decided to try and stand my ground near them as long as I could and ended up getting this great photo of these guys just mucking around. It was nice to see mates be mates instead of wild fighting. I will never forget this moment, being so close to the action. Being on my stomach nice and low, gave me the perfect negative space background, and I knew immeadiantly I would be able to turn this into a BnW with high contrast. I used A canon 5d Markii, 100-400m and edited with CS5 and Silver Efex Pro2. This is my first real black and White and I'm very pleased with it. Hope you guys like it to.
