We never can tell when a blessing will jump up and SMACK US! On my way home last evening, whipping around Route 2 in Sterling. ..about to wind down under the viaduct to then go up over the Rock River. ....ALMOST SPLAT...SCREECH TO A DEAD HALT...I saved Momma Duck and her 8 tiny goslings who were trying to get to the other side of Route 2!...wow! ....adrenaline. ..saved the family. I didn't even look into my rear view, thankfully the 3 cars screeched to a halt behind me. No accidents, no casualties---a car full of young kids didn't grasp the magnitude of what they were just a part of and so they FLIPPED ME THE BIRD, PLENTY! Such is life........I was already pulled over, I instinctively whipped out the NIKON and commenced photographing the beautiful lives that remained!
