Location
I took this photo while on hiking through a local state park, Rock Cut, near my home in Loves Park. I remember asking a friend of mine to join me for a hike as I wanted to take pictures of leaves.Time
This photo was taken around late afternoon sometime in early November. I remember that because it was pretty chilly outside and we had roughly an hour or so to take pictures, the park closes at sun down.Lighting
The lighting was pretty bland.Equipment
This photo was taken a long time before I had any real interest in photography and I used a Nikon coolpix camera.Inspiration
My inspiration for this photo and most of my other photos are nature and specifically leaves. I collect leaves and everyone who knows me, knows that, so most of my gifts to me usually pertain to leaves. Which I absolutely love!Editing
this photo was highly manipulated in photoshop to bring out the yellows, browns and textures that were going on in this photo. In my camera bag
I shoot a lot of nature, weddings, portraits, and racing. With that being said, I usually carry with me a sigma 18-125mm as my go to lens, a canon 70-200mm f4, canon 50d, 430 ex II and 580 ex II, and a backup camera canon t3 and a tripod, if I need anything else I will rent it.. I have some other lenses and equipment, but I try to pack light when I'm traveling a lot. The lighter the better.Feedback
I guess my advice to capture images like this is to have fun with it..I shot 20 images and got 1 that I liked...then I edited it to my taste. And study a lot about your camera and get to know it and how it works. Photography is art and all you can do is experiment and just have a great time doing it
