This is the 2010 Winter Olympic Cauldron that was held here in Vancouver. The arms were designed to look like icicles. After the Olympics, it was decided to keep the Cauldron . It is now lit only for special occasions such as every time Canada won a gold medal at the Sochi Olympics.
