Hi Awu, This is such an extraordinary shot. Is this place as difficult to get to as it is described in the review?

I was just there not too long ago. Not nearly as many flowers as your. After I shot it and was showing it to a friend he told me to get Popular Photography Jan 2015. When it came The cover picture was this shot. He got the sun in his picture and had as many flowers as you. My photo fell short on flower as they we all but gone. Heading back in Feb. Mark

This was tricky to shoot. Big dynamic range, shooting into the setting sun. & somewhat windy so shutter speed was limited also or the flowers would come out blurry.... Fortunately on that day there was some thin clouds just over the horizon which soften the sun glow & the reflected light on the waves.Equipment

After seeing a shot from an old time local photographer, I knew I had to try my own take. The lines created by the growth pattern of the lillies leading to a serene beach is just very special. Add a good sunset to it is just icing on the cake.Editing
This one required a bit of work, & it wasnt easy since I am very new to post-processing. First I had to stack 3 images together to get everything sharp. Then I had to play around the black point & shadow to balance the contrast. Some local dodging was done on the upper left side also to brighten the valley wall. I then adjusted the colors to more accurately represent what I saw..... Lastly, I had to removed a fellow photographer & his camera since he was shooting in front of us. At least he was hunkered down & stayed on the side.... ;)In my camera bag

Come prepared & come early! Know exactly what u want to achieve very well so u know exactly what to do on the spot. Do practice shots as much as u can before the good light comes. It took me awhile to find a composition I liked, & took even longer to figure out how to achieve the effect I wanted. Eat & rest well prior to the shoot ;) & have fun!
