Behind The Lens

Location

I was at a close friends wedding on the Connecticut Shoreline. It's my favorite photo from the day.

Time

It was a gorgeous day after the wedding on the beach of Connecticut, We all moved inside to celebrate. This was the First dance.

Lighting

The lighting was a combination of the venue lights, the videographers Light, the Professional photographers flashes, and my on camera flash.

Equipment

surprisingly enough this was taken on a Kodak Point and shoot. Kodak Z812 IS.

Inspiration

All throughout the dance they had been dipping, and they just faced the right way to where i was standing and i had a quick shutter finger. It really captured the whole day, with the brides junior bridesmaids in the background cheering on and the bride and groom totally lost in each other.

Editing

I didn't do any post- processing. this was so early in my discovery of photography that i didn't really know what post-processing was. Shots like this don't need it.

In my camera bag

when i took this i didn't have a "bag" i had a camera. This shot is what really pushed me towards photography in the first place. Now I've upgraded a couple times. went to a Canon point and shoot, now I shoot on a Nikon D5100, and have a external flash and a 55-200mm lens in my bag along with the kit lens 18-50mm.

Feedback

Be patient. Learn a quick shutter finger, and just have fun. All to many times we get frustrated with not getting that perfect shot, if your there as a guest, just have fun and remember why you love photography, Capturing moments of time. Sometimes we just need to be a guest.
