Warthog - South Africa

A naked - skinned pig-like animal, greyish in colour, with a large flattened head on which there are conspicuous warts protruding from below the eyes. They have a pronounced mane of long stiff hairs on the neck and shoulders. Upper tusks are large and curved upwards. Long thin tail carried erect in a characteristic fashion when they run. Boars have more prominent warts and larger tusks than sows.
