Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on my garden in Enfield, North London.

Time

Lunch time while my twins were napping

Lighting

Noon day sun with a touch of shade from a tree

Equipment

Nikon D80, Tamron Macro lens

Inspiration

I am one of those people who thinks that they have nothing to photograph and then I see the work of other photographers and think - why didn't I photograph that wall, that drain cover, that puddle! So I took myself out into my garden and tried to see what was there. These chives are useless for cooking (don't think you are meant to let them flower) but they did look good so I took the picture.

Editing

Just a crop but nothing else needed

In my camera bag

I've changed to an Olympus mirrorless system now so I have my Olympus E-M10, standard zoom and Macro plus a small tripod

Feedback

Go out there and really look at what you have around you.
